How to apply for Senior Project FRESH / Market FRESH (Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program)

Who it's for
Senior Project FRESH / Market FRESH gives Michigan residents age 60 or older $25 in benefits to spend on fresh fruits, vegetables, and honey at participating farmers' markets and roadside stands, plus free nutrition education. Income must be at or below $28,952.50/year for one person or $39,127.50 for a couple. Members of a Michigan federally recognized tribe qualify at age 55+. The 2026 season runs May 1 through October 31; benefits are used in the county where you live.
A seasonal benefit worth $25 per eligible person, used May 1–October 31 at participating markets in your county. Income limits ($28,952.50 single / $39,127.50 couple) reflect 185% of the federal poverty level. Members of a Michigan federally recognized tribe or urban tribal group qualify at age 55+. Benefits are limited and may run out for the season.
