Elder Options (the Area Agency on Aging for North Central Florida) is the Area Agency on Aging and Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) serving Hernando County. As a one-call 'no wrong door' entry point, it connects older adults, caregivers, and people with disabilities to in-home care, home-delivered and congregate meals, transportation, caregiver support, benefits counseling, and Florida's Medicaid long-term-care and Community Care for the Elderly services. Services are for adults 60 and older, with priority for those in greatest need. Call Florida's Elder Helpline at 1-800-963-5337 to be connected to the Hernando County ADRC.
