How to apply for Tennessee Family Caregiver Support Program

Tennessee Department of Disability and Aging — delivered through the Area Agencies on Aging & Disability

Who it's for

This program helps family and unpaid caregivers with counseling and support groups, caregiver training, respite care, personal care, homemaker services, and adult day care. It serves caregivers of adults age 60 and over, caregivers of adults with Alzheimer's or a related disorder (any age), and grandparents or relatives 55+ raising a minor child. Contact your Area Agency on Aging & Disability.

No income test, but services are delivered locally by the Area Agencies on Aging & Disability and availability varies by region. The program supports the caregiver, including respite so they can rest. A Lifespan Respite grant offers low- or no-cost respite vouchers. Confirm what's available with your AAAD.
