How to apply for ACCESS LYNX ADA Paratransit (Osceola County)

Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX) — Eligibility Department

Who it's for

ACCESS LYNX is the ADA-mandated shared-ride paratransit service for residents of Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties whose disability prevents independent use of LYNX fixed-route buses. For Osceola residents, the service area is bounded by the 3/4-mile ADA buffer around LYNX fixed routes — which means the US 192 corridor (Disney area), Kissimmee, and St. Cloud are generally well-covered while rural eastern Osceola may fall outside the corridor. Effective January 1, 2022, LYNX began a new eligibility application process: a mail-in application, possible professional medical verification, and possible in-person functional assessment. The same application handles ADA paratransit AND Florida Transportation Disadvantaged (TD) eligibility (for low-income riders without ADA-qualifying disabilities). Apply by contacting the LYNX Eligibility Department at (407) 423-8747, Option 6, ideally at least one week before any medical appointment you plan to use ACCESS LYNX to reach.

ACCESS LYNX eligibility is decided through the mail-in application, possible medical verification, and possible in-person functional assessment. The engine can confirm you appear functionally eligible to apply, but the final determination is made by LYNX after the assessment. Service is limited to trips where both origin AND destination are within 3/4 mile of a LYNX fixed-route bus alignment — most of Osceola's rural eastern half (everywhere east of St. Cloud) falls outside the corridor. Apply at least a week before any medical appointment by calling (407) 423-8747 Option 6.
