How to apply for LaSHIP — free Medicare counseling (Louisiana Senior Health Information Program)

Who it's for

The Louisiana Senior Health Information Program (LaSHIP) helps people with Medicare understand their coverage options and benefits. Counselors give free, unbiased help by phone or face to face. They can help you compare plans during Medicare Open Enrollment (October 15 to December 7), when you can switch between Original Medicare and a Medicare Advantage plan, change Medicare Advantage plans, or change a Part D drug plan. Call LaSHIP at 1-800-259-5300, or leave your contact information on the LaSHIP page and a counselor will call you.
