How to apply for Maryland Energy Assistance (OHEP / MEAP)

Who it's for
The Office of Home Energy Programs helps low-income Marylanders pay heating and electric bills through the Maryland Energy Assistance Program (MEAP) and Electric Universal Service Program (EUSP), plus arrearage help and weatherization referrals. Apply once a year through myMDTHINK, by mail, or at the local home energy office in every county.
Income limits (about 175% of the federal poverty level) are published in OHEP's annual guidelines; the local office determines the benefit.
