How to apply for Low-Income Energy Assistance (LIEAP) & Crisis Intervention (CIP) — Yadkin County

Yadkin County Human Services (Social Services)

Who it's for

The Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) gives a one-time yearly payment to help eligible households pay heating bills, and the Crisis Intervention Program (CIP) helps when a household faces a heating or cooling emergency. Both are run by the Yadkin County Human Services (Social Services). Households with an older adult (60+) or a person with a disability can apply early in the season. Apply online through ePASS at epass.nc.gov or contact the county office at 336-849-7910.

Eligibility is based on household income, resources, and energy need. LIEAP opens earlier for households age 60+ or with a disability. The county DSS makes the final determination. Not legal or financial advice.
