Questions you might have.

Is the eligibility check really free?

Yes. Anyone can run a free eligibility check, see their full results, and get the results emailed to themselves. There's no card on file, no signup required. The paid plans add ongoing tools on top — they're never required to see your results.

I'm helping a parent — what does the paid plan actually do day to day?

Add yourself as one profile and your parent as the second. The dashboard shows benefits either of you may qualify for, the renewal calendar in one place, and email alerts when rules change on a program your parent depends on. Most caregivers use the renewal reminders most — missing a Medi-Cal or SNAP renewal is the most common way a senior loses coverage, and a reminder 60 / 30 / 7 days before each deadline is the headline reason the paid plan exists.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from your dashboard's billing page; the Stripe customer portal lets you cancel in two clicks. You keep access through the end of your billing period.

Do you offer refunds?

Email support@pursova.com within 7 days of being charged and we'll refund the most recent payment, no questions asked.

What does the AI actually do?

The AI only writes the plain-English explanations that go with each result. Eligibility itself is decided by deterministic Python rules tied to the program's .gov source — never by an LLM. The AI is forbidden from inventing program names, dollar amounts, or links it can't cite.

What data do you collect — and never collect?

Collected: age, ZIP, income range, household size, marital status, a few yes/no eligibility flags, and (on the paid plan) any documents you upload to the vault. Never collected: Social Security number, exact date of birth, full medical history. Documents in the vault are encrypted at rest in Cloudflare R2 with per-customer key prefixes.

What happens to my data if I delete my account?

We honor CCPA/CPRA deletion within 45 days. The deletion executor removes your profiles, saved results, benefit applications, vault documents (from R2), Stripe customer, and Clerk account in one operation. Feedback signal (bug reports, missing-program flags) survives anonymized, never tied to your identity.

Which states are covered?

California, Florida, and Kentucky today, with more states being added as their program rules are encoded and verified. Federal programs are evaluated for everyone regardless of state.

How is this different from a Medicare insurance broker?

DiscoverSeniorBenefits is not an insurance broker, a lead-generator, or a Medicare Advantage plan reseller. We don't get paid commissions for steering you anywhere. Your data isn't sold or shared with brokers, ever.

How is DiscoverSeniorBenefits funded?

Mostly by paid subscriptions. Some blog posts also carry a single disclosed sponsor — typically an elder-law firm, geriatric care manager, or in-home care agency. A vetted partner directory at /services lists those firms by county; every listing is paid and labeled "Paid listing." Partners manage their own listings at /partner; vetting and category remain admin-curated. Sponsorships and directory listings never affect which benefits are shown to you or how they're ranked — eligibility is decided by deterministic rules tied to .gov sources. Medicare Advantage plans, lead-generators, reverse mortgages, and hearing-aid affiliate networks are not permitted sponsors or partners.
