How to apply for Nevada Medicare Assistance Program (MAP), Nevada's SHIP for free Medicare counseling

Who it's for

The Medicare Assistance Program (MAP) is Nevada's State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP). Trained counselors give free, unbiased help to anyone eligible for Medicare, people about to enroll, and their families and caregivers. Help is available by phone, online, or in person. Counselors can explain Medicare and coverage options, help with enrolling in a Part D drug plan or a Medicare Advantage plan, and check whether you qualify for programs that lower Medicare costs, such as Extra Help and the Medicare Savings Programs. MAP also includes the Senior Medicare Patrol, which helps people spot and report Medicare fraud and errors. Call MAP toll-free at 1-800-307-4444.
