How to apply for SNAP food assistance in Nevada

Who it's for
SNAP gives a monthly benefit on an EBT card to buy groceries. Starting October 1, 2026, most Nevada households can have gross monthly income up to $2,660 for one person or $3,608 for two (200% of poverty). The net income limit after deductions is $1,330 for one person or $1,804 for two. The most one person can get is $306 a month, and two people can get up to $562. Most households have no limit on savings or other assets. Apply online through Access Nevada, or print the Application for Assistance and mail, fax, or drop it off at your local Social Services office. If your household has little or no money, you may get benefits within 7 business days.
The income amounts shown are guidelines for most households. Households with an elderly or disabled member are judged under special rules, so apply even if your income is above the gross limit. DSS makes the final decision and sets the benefit amount after an interview.
