Who it's for
South Coast Business (SCB) is the Area Agency on Aging for Coos and Curry counties. Its Senior Services program helps people 60 and over with information and assistance, home-delivered and group meals, legal help, Medicare counseling (SHIBA), caregiver support, Oregon Project Independence, options counseling and help finding transportation. The main office is at 800 North Bayshore Drive in Coos Bay. Call 541-269-2013. Medicaid long-term care is handled by the state Aging and People with Disabilities office in North Bend.
AAA services are free or donation-based; program enrollments the agency helps with have their own eligibility rules. Most Older Americans Act services start at age 60.
