How to apply for Pennsylvania Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) — $25 Produce Vouchers

Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, through each county's Area Agency on Aging

Who it's for

The Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program gives Pennsylvanians age 60 or older (or turning 60 by December 31) a one-time $25 benefit each year, paid as five $5 vouchers. Use them to buy Pennsylvania-grown fruits, vegetables, and cut herbs from approved farmers at markets and farm stands. Household income must be at or below $29,526 for one person or $40,034 for two. Vouchers are handed out by your county Area Agency on Aging, usually in person, first come, first served, during the summer. The market season runs June 1 through November 30. Call your county aging office to find out when and where vouchers are given out.

A small seasonal benefit: $25 once per program year. Vouchers are limited and handed out first come, first served by county aging offices, mostly in summer (the 2026 application says the last day to receive checks is 9/30/26). People living in a nursing home or other residence where meals are provided cannot get vouchers.

People who qualify for one senior program often qualify for others. See everything you may qualify for — free, no SSN, about five minutes.
