How to apply for Amarillo City Transit (ACT) + ACT-Connect Paratransit + Panhandle Transit Rural (Randall County)

Randall County is served by TWO transit operators: (1) AMARILLO CITY TRANSIT (ACT) — the City of Amarillo's urban transit district, established 1966, operating fixed-route bus + flexible transit + ACT-Connect ADA paratransit within Amarillo city limits; (2) PANHANDLE TRANSIT — operated by Panhandle Community Services (PCS), serving the RURAL portions of Potter and Randall plus 24 other Panhandle counties. Seniors qualify for free or low-cost rides through Panhandle Rides (panhandlerides.com), a regional coordination system. For ACT urban fares, call ACT at 806-378-3095. For Panhandle Transit rural service, call PCS at 806-372-2531. ACT-Connect ADA paratransit requires functional-ability certification.
Amarillo metro (Randall + the other Potter/Randall portion) has the most comprehensive transit infrastructure in the Panhandle. Urban residents use ACT; rural residents use Panhandle Transit (PCS).
