The Pershing County Senior Center at 630 Western Ave. in Lovelock serves lunch to seniors and offers van rides. The van picks up local seniors Monday through Friday and brings them to the center for lunch and back home, and also takes them shopping, to the post office, the bank, and the Lovelock Pharmacy. Breakfast is offered every third Friday. Monthly newsletters and menus are posted on the county website. Services are free or donation-based; some have their own age or income rules. Most Older Americans Act services start at age 60. Medicaid long-term care eligibility is decided by the Nevada Division of Welfare and Supportive Services.
