CountyThe Pershing County Senior Center at 630 Western Ave. in Lovelock serves lunch to seniors and offers van rides. The van picks up local seniors Monday through Friday and brings them to the center for lunch and back home, and also takes them shopping, to the post office, the bank, and the Lovelock Pharmacy. Breakfast is offered every third Friday. Monthly newsletters and menus are posted on the county website. CountyPershing General Hospital in Lovelock has a Sliding Fee Discount Program based only on income and family size. Patients with income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level can get a discount after applying and being approved. Patients at or below 100% of the FPL qualify for a full discount, and only a nominal fee is asked. No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay. Senior Center Van Rides (Pershing County Senior Center) — Pershing
CountyThe Pershing County Senior Center van runs Monday through Friday from 10:30am to 2pm. It picks up local seniors in Lovelock for lunch at the center and takes them home, plus shopping at Safeway and Family Dollar on Mondays and Fridays and trips to the post office, bank, and pharmacy. The van also makes monthly out-of-town trips to Fallon and Reno for appointments and shopping; sign up at the front desk. The van has a lift for wheelchair users. Call the center before 10am at 775-273-2291 to schedule a pickup.
