How to apply for LIHEAP energy assistance (Oregon Coast Community Action) — Curry

Who it's for

Oregon Coast Community Action (ORCCA) helps low-income households in Coos and Curry counties pay part of their energy costs, based on available funding. As of September 2026, ORCCA had stopped taking applications for the 2025-26 program year and planned changes for the year starting October 1, including stricter Social Security card rules. People who are homebound can call for another way to apply. Submit documents at the Gold Beach DHS office (Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., 94145 5th Pl.) or the Coos Bay office, or by email to energy@orcca.us. Call 541-435-7080 ext. 264 and leave a detailed message.

• Social Security cards for everyone in the household, including children over age 1
• Photo ID for everyone age 18 or older
• Declaration of Personal Income (DPI) form for each adult
• Proof of income for all adults for the month before you sign the application
• Your most recent utility bill
