How to apply for Calaveras Connect Direct-Connect Dial-a-Ride

Calaveras Connect

Who it's for

Direct-Connect Dial-a-Ride is Calaveras Connect's reservation-based, curb-to-curb bus service connecting all Calaveras County communities — open to the general public, no disability certification needed. Seniors 65+, riders with disabilities, and veterans pay a discounted $2.00 one-way fare (regular $3.00) — show ID when boarding. Reserve by 3 p.m. the day before (up to 7 days ahead) by calling dispatch at (209) 754-4450, or book with the Spare app. Runs Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Calaveras Connect Dial-A-Ride (ADA Paratransit) eligibility is functional (disability that prevents using regular Calaveras Connect fixed-route service) and is determined by the agency after a written application and possible functional assessment — this check cannot perform that assessment. Start by calling 1-209-754-4450.

What you'll need

  • ID showing age 65+, disability, or veteran status (for the discounted fare only)
