How to apply for StanRTA "The S" ADA Paratransit (Stanislaus County)

Stanislaus Regional Transit Authority (StanRTA)

Who it's for

StanRTA's ADA paratransit — which combined the former Modesto Area Dial-A-Ride (MADAR) and StaRT Paratransit services — provides door-to-door, shared-ride transportation 365 days a year within a 3/4-mile radius of all "The S" fixed-route service across Stanislaus County. Eligibility is functional rather than age-based: paper applications are no longer used; instead, applicants call the Stanislaus Eligibility Center at 1-209-672-1143 to schedule an in-person interview. The interview is NOT a medical determination — it assesses whether the applicant can functionally ride public transportation under current ADA guidelines. Eligibility Center address: 4701 Sisk Road Suite 201, Modesto, CA 95356.

Eligibility for StanRTA's ADA paratransit is functional and is determined by an in-person interview at the Stanislaus Eligibility Center (4701 Sisk Road Suite 201, Modesto) — the scan cannot perform that assessment. Paper applications are no longer used; call 1-209-672-1143 to schedule the interview.
