How to apply for Clay Community Transportation + Clay Express Select (Clay County Transit)
Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) operating under contract with the Clay County Board of County Commissioners as Clay Community Transportation (CCT); fixed-route bus service plus the Clay Express Select commuter service connecting Clay County to downtown Jacksonville
Who it's for
Clay County's public transit is operated by the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) under contract with the Clay County Board of County Commissioners and branded as Clay Community Transportation (CCT). The CCT network includes the Magenta Line, Blue Line, and Green Line fixed-route services connecting Orange Park, Green Cove Springs, Middleburg, Fleming Island, and Keystone Heights to JTA's broader Jacksonville network. Clay Express Select provides executive-style commuter service between Clay County and the Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center (JRTC) in downtown LaVilla. Senior passengers age 60 and older receive reduced fares on Clay Community Transportation services. Service runs 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; no service Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays. CCT customer service: (904) 284-5977; JTA customer service: (904) 630-3100. For seniors who cannot use fixed-route service due to age-related mobility limitations, JTA Connexion ADA paratransit and Clay County demand-response transportation may also be available — assessed individually based on functional eligibility.
Clay Community Transportation senior fares apply at age 60+ on the Magenta/Blue/Green fixed routes and Clay Express Select. Service is M-F 6a-7p only — no weekend or holiday service. Seniors needing door-to-door transportation due to functional mobility limitations should pursue JTA Connexion ADA paratransit assessment separately; eligibility is individualized and requires a mobility evaluation. Specific senior-fare amounts vary by route and pass type — call CCT customer service at 904-284-5977 to confirm current fares. The lack of weekend service is the binding constraint for seniors who attend weekend medical appointments, religious services, or family events; private transportation or volunteer driver networks may need to fill that gap.

- Proof of age 60+ (Florida driver's license, Florida ID, Medicare card)
