How to apply for CATConnect ADA Paratransit (Collier County)
Collier Area Transit (CAT) CATConnect — Collier County Mobility Manager Office
Who it's for
CATConnect is Collier Area Transit's ADA-mandated shared-ride paratransit service for Collier County residents whose disability prevents independent use of CAT fixed-route buses. The service is offered in accordance with the ADA Act of 1990: trips are provided when both origin and destination are within 3/4 mile of a fixed-route corridor. CATConnect offers three eligibility levels — unconditional approval, conditional approval (eligible for certain trip types or conditions), and visitor presumptive eligibility. Apply through the CAT Mobility Manager Office at (239) 252-7272 (Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.); written applications require information provided by a licensed medical professional. Applications may also be obtained at the CAT office at 8300 Radio Road, Naples, FL 34104. Once approved, you receive a CATConnect identification card — this card can be shown to OTHER transit agencies to identify you as ADA eligible, providing reciprocal visitor access at peer paratransit systems across Florida and beyond.
CATConnect eligibility is decided by application + medical certification — disability alone does not guarantee eligibility. This scan can tell you that you appear functionally eligible to apply. Service is only available when both origin AND destination are within 3/4 mile of a CAT fixed-route corridor — addresses outside this corridor (much of inland Collier east of Collier Boulevard) are not eligible regardless of disability status. Conditional eligibility may be granted for specific trip types. Once approved, the CATConnect ID card serves as reciprocal ADA verification when visiting other transit agencies — useful for snowbirds and traveling seniors.
