Gulf County has no fixed-route bus service. Rides are booked through Big Bend Transit, the county's community transportation coordinator under Florida's Transportation Disadvantaged program. Big Bend Transit provides door-to-door rides for medical appointments, work, shopping and other trips, including Medicaid non-emergency medical transportation. Call the Gulf County office at 850-229-6550 and book ahead — 24 to 48 hours' notice is typical.
