Community Coach is Indian River County's door-to-door paratransit service, operated by Senior Resource Association (SRA) alongside GoLine fixed-route service. Community Coach provides shared-ride transportation for riders who cannot use GoLine due to a disability (ADA paratransit) or who qualify under the Florida Transportation Disadvantaged (TD) program (low-income, no other transportation option). Rides connect Indian River residents to medical appointments, dialysis treatments, employment, grocery shopping, and other essential destinations. SRA's integrated structure — operating both fixed-route GoLine and door-to-door Community Coach — means a single phone number (772-569-0760) handles all Indian River transit eligibility and trip booking. Apply by calling SRA to request the Community Coach eligibility application or visit SRA at 694 14th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960. SRA is also the Community Transportation Coordinator designated by the Florida Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged for both Indian River and Martin counties.
Community Coach has two paired eligibility pathways: ADA paratransit (disability-based, requires medical verification) and Florida Transportation Disadvantaged (income-based, for riders without ADA-qualifying disabilities). SRA's integrated operation means the same intake also screens for SRA's senior services portfolio (Meals on Wheels, DayAway adult day care, in-home services).
