How to apply for Senior Resource Association Meals on Wheels + Senior Services (Indian River)

Who it's for

Senior Resource Association (SRA) is the Indian River County Lead Agency for senior services, designated by the Area Agency on Aging of Palm Beach/Treasure Coast (PSA 9 AAA). SRA delivers more than 144,000 hot, nutritious Meals on Wheels meals each year to homebound seniors throughout Indian River County — five days a week, hot and ready to eat. SRA's Meals on Wheels uniquely also includes Pet Meals on Wheels, delivering pet food to Meals on Wheels clients' pets when funding allows (an unusual program in the FL cluster). Beyond meal delivery, SRA's integrated senior service portfolio includes congregate dining at SRA centers, DayAway adult day care for respite caregivers, in-home services (personal care, homemaking), information and referral, and care navigation. The agency also operates GoLine free public transit and Community Coach paratransit — making SRA the most integrated single-point-of-contact senior services structure in the modeled FL cluster. Eligibility for OAA-funded services is age 60+ and Indian River residency; home-delivered Meals on Wheels additionally requires homebound status. Eligible clients receive meals through specially funded programs; services are also available on a private-pay basis for clients who don't meet OAA eligibility.
