How to apply for Lake County Senior Services + Elder Options PSA 3 Network

Lake County Department of Community Services Elder Affairs Division + Elder Options (Aging Resources, Inc.) — the PSA 3 AAA designate covering Lake and 15 other North Central FL counties

Who it's for

Lake County participates in the Elder Options (Aging Resources, Inc.) network as one of the 16 counties served by the PSA 3 Area Agency on Aging. Elder Options coordinates Older Americans Act Title III nutrition through local contracted providers and the Lake County Department of Community Services Elder Affairs Division. Congregate dining is available at senior centers across Lake County — including Leesburg, Tavares, Eustis, Mount Dora, Clermont, and Lady Lake — and home-delivered Meals on Wheels serves homebound Lake County seniors throughout the county. Eligibility is age 60+ and Lake County residency for congregate meals; home-delivered meals additionally require documented homebound status. Lake County's senior population is substantial — including the southern/eastern half of The Villages (Lady Lake area) plus a large retiree population around the Mount Dora / Tavares / Eustis 'Golden Triangle' and around Clermont. Apply by calling the Elder Helpline at 1-800-262-2243 (PSA 3 statewide), the Florida Elder Helpline at 1-800-963-5337, or the Lake County Elder Affairs Division for a needs assessment.

Lake County senior nutrition services are coordinated through Elder Options (PSA 3 AAA) with local delivery through the Lake County Department of Community Services Elder Affairs Division and partner agencies. Congregate meals require age 60+ and Lake County residency. Home-delivered meals additionally require documented homebound status. Call the Elder Helpline at 1-800-262-2243 to start. NOT MODELED HERE: Internal Villages community programming (for Villages residents in the Lady Lake area within Lake County) includes additional senior activities organized by the Villages community development district. Villages residents in Lake County have access to BOTH internal Villages programs AND OAA Title III services through Elder Options/Lake — but the catalog only models the OAA Title III publicly-funded pathway because internal Villages programs are private master-planned community amenities.
