How to apply for GoPasco / PCPT Senior Reduced Fare
Pasco County Public Transportation (PCPT) — GoPasco
Who it's for
GoPasco (operated by Pasco County Public Transportation, PCPT) is the public bus system serving Pasco County. Seniors age 65 and older qualify for the reduced fare — $0.75 per one-way ride, half the standard adult fare of $1.50 — by showing a valid Medicare card at the farebox or a GoPasco Reduced Photo ID. The 31-Day Pass costs $18.75 at the senior/reduced rate (vs. $37.50 for adults), making it a meaningful saving for regular riders. The Medicare-card-only proof option is unusually convenient: most Florida transit agencies require a separate photo ID, but in Pasco any Medicare-eligible senior can just show their red-white-blue Medicare card and pay the reduced rate immediately. For seniors who want a permanent photo card, the GoPasco Reduced Photo ID is available for a $2.50 one-time fee — useful if you don't yet have Medicare or want to avoid carrying it on the bus.
What you'll need
- Valid Medicare card (the easiest option — doubles as proof of age 65+)
- Or: $2.50 fee for a GoPasco Reduced Photo ID issued at the PCPT Admin Office (8620 Galen Wilson Blvd, Port Richey, FL 34668)
