How to apply for PSTA Senior Reduced Fare
Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA)
Who it's for
Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) is the public bus system serving Pinellas County (St. Petersburg, Clearwater, the Tampa Bay coast). Seniors age 65 and older qualify for the reduced fare — half the standard adult fare — by showing a PSTA-issued Senior/Disabled Photo ID, a government-issued photo ID, or a Medicare card at the farebox. The PSTA Photo ID is free and recommended for daily riders; the Medicare card alternative is convenient for occasional riders since it doubles as both proof of age 65+ and proof of disability eligibility. Reduced-fare 31-Day Unlimited GO Cards are also available, sold online and at PSTA Customer Service Centers. To get a PSTA Photo ID, bring proof of age 65+ to any PSTA Customer Service Center.
What you'll need
- Proof of age 65+ (Florida driver's license, Florida ID, U.S. passport, or Medicare card) — Medicare card is convenient because it serves as both age and disability proof
- Optional: visit a PSTA Customer Service Center to enroll for a free PSTA Senior Photo ID card
