Who it's for

VOTRAN is Volusia County's public fixed-route bus system, serving the Daytona Beach metro corridor plus inland Volusia (DeLand, Deltona, Orange City). Riders age 65 and older qualify for a reduced fare of $1.00 per one-way trip (half the standard $2.00 adult fare). To use the reduced rate, show acceptable proof of age at the farebox: a government-issued ID, a Florida driver's license, a Medicare card (red, white, and blue), or a U.S. passport. For frequent riders, the VOTRAN Photo ID Card is available for a one-time $2.00 fee at the VOTRAN Administration Office at 950 Big Tree Road, South Daytona, Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. The card is issued on the spot. Once issued, the photo ID can be shown at the farebox in lieu of carrying separate proof of age.
