The Macon-Bibb County Transit Authority (MTA) operates fixed-route bus service throughout Macon and Bibb County. Senior citizens 62 and older ride at a reduced fare of just $0.60 per one-way trip with valid ID, and discounted senior passes are available (a 10-ride pass for $6.00 or a 20-ride pass for $10.00). In partnership with AARP Georgia, MTA also offers free fixed-route rides to honorably discharged veterans 65 and older who live in Macon-Bibb County.
