Athens-Clarke County Transit (ACC Transit) operates fixed-route bus service throughout Athens and Clarke County. ACC Transit is currently fare-free for all riders — no fare is charged to board the fixed-route buses, which is especially valuable for seniors and people on fixed incomes. Routes connect neighborhoods to shopping, medical facilities, the University of Georgia, and downtown Athens. Complementary ADA paratransit is available for riders who cannot use the fixed route.
