Champaign County public transportation is the Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District (MTD), one of the best-rated mid-size transit systems in the country, serving Champaign, Urbana, Savoy, and the University of Illinois. DISTINCTIVELY, MTD's DASH Pass gives FREE fixed-route rides to seniors 65+ and riders with disabilities; there is also a half-fare cab program and MTD ADA Paratransit (door-to-door for those who can't use the buses). C-CARTS provides rural demand-response service in the rest of the county. The Illinois Benefit Access Program adds free/reduced fares for income-eligible riders 65+. Apply for a DASH Pass at MTD.
