DeWitt County public transportation is provided by Piattran (Piatt County Public Transportation), which took over from SHOW BUS on July 1, 2025. Piattran runs door-to-door, demand-response rides for medical appointments, work, shopping, and errands across DeWitt County (Clinton, Farmer City, Wapella), plus scheduled out-of-county service to Champaign, Bloomington, and Decatur. Vehicles are wheelchair-accessible and Medicaid is accepted for eligible trips. Call 217-762-7821 to book, at least 24 hours ahead. The Illinois Benefit Access Program (Illinois Department on Aging) provides free fixed-route transit rides for income-eligible riders 65+.
