Who it's for

One-time emergency money for a grandparent or other relative who is raising a child, to cover a safety or care need that no other program will pay for. AgeLinc's gap assistance can help with a utility or rent bill, a one-time child-care cost, a one-time prescription cost, school materials, beds, car seats, clothing and similar needs, and can connect the family to help with legal guardianship, food, and state health coverage for the child. Available to relative caregivers of any age; you must show existing or pending legal guardianship of the child, and a family can use it once in a 12-month period.
