How to apply for Illinois Family Caregiver Support Program (NFCSP)

Who it's for
The Illinois Family Caregiver Support Program (the state's National Family Caregiver Support Program) helps unpaid family caregivers of adults 60+ (and older caregivers raising grandchildren) with information and assistance, caregiver counseling and training, support groups, respite care, and limited supplemental services. No strict income limit (services may be prioritized by need). Delivered through the 13 Area Agencies on Aging and their providers. Call the Senior HelpLine (1-800-252-8966).
Caregiver support (respite, training, counseling) for unpaid family caregivers of 60+; no hard income test, but respite dollars are limited and prioritized by need.
What you'll need
- Proof the care recipient is age 60+ (or caregiver 55+ raising a child)
