Who it's for
Vermilion County public transportation is Danville Mass Transit (DMT), the City of Danville's fixed-route bus system. DISTINCTIVELY, riders age 65+ ride the DMT fixed-route buses FREE with a DMT ID card. DMT also runs ADA paratransit for people who can't use the fixed-route buses. NOTE: the CRIS Rural Mass Transit District ceased rural service in January 2026 after a state funding freeze; the City of Danville has taken over paratransit (starting with dialysis/medical trips) with IDOT support. The Illinois Benefit Access Program adds free/reduced fares for income-eligible riders 65+. Get a DMT free/reduced-fare ID card at the DMT office.
