Transpo runs South Bend and Mishawaka's fixed-route buses. The full cash fare is $1.00; riders age 65 and over, Medicare cardholders, and riders with disabilities pay $0.50 on fixed routes by showing a photo ID proving age, a Medicare card, or a Transpo Reduced Fare Card. Apply for the Reduced Fare Card by mail (Transpo, 1401 S. Lafayette Blvd, South Bend, IN 46613 — written determination within 21 days) or call (574) 233-2131 (Mon-Fri 7 a.m.-6 p.m.).

St. Joseph: the $0.50 fare starts at 65 (or any age with a Medicare card) — a photo ID showing your age works when boarding.
