How to apply for Bluegrass Senior Center & Nutrition Services

Bluegrass Area Agency on Aging & Independent Living (Bluegrass Area Development District)

Who it's for

Through the Bluegrass Area Agency on Aging & Independent Living, Kentuckians 60 and older in Jessamine County can use Older Americans Act (Title III) aging services. There is a senior center in every Bluegrass county offering meals, activities, crafts, and companionship, alongside the Homecare Program (in-home support), caregiver support, health and dementia-care programs, SHIP benefits counseling, and a no-cost Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) that is a one-stop point for information and referral across the 17-county region. Most services have no income test; a voluntary donation may be requested but services are not denied for inability to pay.

What you'll need

  • Proof of age 60+ (driver's license, state ID, or birth certificate)
  • Proof of Jessamine County residency
