How to apply for Senior Property Tax Freeze (SB 190) — Clark
Clark County (program authorized by RSMo 137.1050, adopted by county action)
Who it's for
Clark County has adopted Missouri's senior property tax credit (SB 190): homeowners 62 or older can freeze the real-estate tax bill on their primary home, so it stops rising in later years. Applications: MARCH 1 - MARCH 29, 2026. Clark County posts a public notice "Sign up dates Senior Tax Relief" giving the 2026 sign-up window as "MARCH 1 - MARCH 29, 2026" for the "MISSOURI SR TAX RELIEF PROGRAM 2026." County main line 660-727-3283; Assessor's office 660-727-3023. Apply through the county's program office.
The freeze applies only to the primary residence, requires an application with Clark County (often annually), and county rules control what is frozen and any home-value limits — the county makes the final determination, so this shows as a may-qualify result.
What you'll need
- Proof of age 62+ (government ID)
