How to apply for Senior Property Tax Freeze (SB 190) — McDonald
McDonald County (program authorized by RSMo 137.1050, adopted by county action)
Who it's for
McDonald County has adopted Missouri's senior property tax credit (SB 190): homeowners 62 or older can freeze the real-estate tax bill on their primary home, so it stops rising in later years. The McDonald County Collector's site carries a "Senior Tax Credit" section with two links: "Senior Tax Credit Information" (https://mcdonaldcountycollector.com/sb190mcdord.pdf, the enabling ordinance) and "Senior Tax Credit Application" (https://mcdonaldcountycollector.com/sb190mcdapp.pdf). Collector Jennifer Weber, 408 Harmon St. / PO Box 725, Pineville MO 64856; phone (417) 223-7408; collector@mcdonaldcountymissouri.gov; office hours Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm. Apply through the county's program office.
The freeze applies only to the primary residence, requires an application with McDonald County (often annually), and county rules control what is frozen and any home-value limits — the county makes the final determination, so this shows as a may-qualify result.
