NJ Transit serves Essex County (Newark hub) with bus + Newark Light Rail + the Northeast Corridor and Morristown Lines + PATH (in partnership with Port Authority). Access Link is the statewide ADA paratransit operator within ¾ mile of bus routes.

Essex County is the densest NJ transit market — Newark Penn Station is the busiest in NJ. NJ Transit Senior Reduced Fare (half-fare, age 62+) applies to all bus, light rail, commuter rail trips off-peak weekdays + weekends. PATH operates Newark-WTC service. Access Link provides ADA paratransit within ¾ mile of NJ Transit bus routes — apply directly via Access Link at 973-491-4224 or accesslink.com. NJ Senior Citizen and Disabled Reduced Fare ID required for half-fare (apply at Newark Penn Station, or via NJ Transit mail-in form).
