How to apply for ACCESS Transit senior rides (CDTA) — Albany County in New York
Access Transit Services, Inc. — a subsidiary of the Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) that brokers rides for Albany County seniors
Who it's for
ACCESS Transit arranges rides for Albany County residents age 60 and older who have no other way to get to vital appointments: non-emergency medical visits, the pharmacy, grocery shopping, congregate meal sites, and adult day programs. Riders who are CDTA STAR paratransit customers, own a car, or have another way to travel are not eligible. Call 518-437-5161 (weekdays 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) at least two business days before the appointment; first-time callers are registered over the phone and mailed a consent form.
ACCESS is for Albany County seniors with no other means of transportation; STAR paratransit customers and people with a car are not eligible, and rides depend on availability. ACCESS makes the final decision when you register.
People who qualify for one senior program often qualify for others. See everything you may qualify for — free, no SSN, about five minutes.
