How to apply for Hamilton County Senior Transportation — Warren/Hamilton Office for the Aging (Hamilton County)

Warren/Hamilton Counties Office for the Aging — the bi-county agency Hamilton County designates as its Office for the Aging; volunteer rides around Inlet, Indian Lake and Lake Pleasant come from Community Transportation Services Ltd.

Who it's for

Hamilton County does not run a public transit department. Rides for residents age 60 and older are arranged through the Warren/Hamilton Counties Office for the Aging: scheduled town service in Long Lake, Lake Pleasant and Wells, booked with the town's reservation clerk at least 24 hours ahead, plus volunteer drivers for medical appointments. Call 518-761-6347, or 1-888-553-4994 from Hamilton County. Community Transportation Services Ltd., an all-volunteer nonprofit, also gives free rides around Inlet, Indian Lake and Lake Pleasant at 518-648-5911, with about a week's notice.

Scheduled town service reaches Long Lake, Lake Pleasant and Wells only; other towns depend on volunteer drivers, and rides must be booked ahead. The agency makes the final decision. Not legal or financial advice.

What you'll need
