How to apply for AACOG Alamo Region Area Agency on Aging — Title III + ADRC (Gonzales County)

Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG) — designated AAA under OAA Title III for the 12-county Alamo Region (excluding Bexar, which has its own AAA)

Who it's for

AACOG Alamo Region AAA serves Gonzales County seniors as part of the 12-county Alamo Region service area (Atascosa, Bandera, Comal, Frio, Gillespie, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, McMullen, Medina, Wilson — Bexar has a separate AAA). Services include Title III Congregate Meals + Home-Delivered Meals, Benefits Counseling, Care Coordination, Caregiver Support, and Long-Term Care Ombudsman. Apply by calling AACOG Alamo Region AAA at 866-231-4922.

Gonzales County uses AACOG Alamo Region AAA (not Golden Crescent AAA) — the COG region and the AAA service area do not align here.

What you'll need

  • Proof of age 60+
  • Proof of Gonzales County residency
  • For home-delivered meals: documentation of homebound status
  • For SHIP service: Medicare card
