How to apply for Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area (AAACAP) — Title III + ADRC + Benefits Counseling (Williamson County)
Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area (AAACAP) — a division of the Capital Area Council of Governments (CAPCOG); designated Area Agency on Aging under the Older Americans Act Title III for a 10-county Central Texas region (Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Hays, Lee, Llano, Travis, Williamson)
Who it's for
AAACAP serves Williamson County seniors as part of its 10-county Central Texas region. Williamson is the second-largest county in the AAACAP service area (after Travis), so meal site and service capacity is meaningful. Services include Title III congregate meals at senior centers across Williamson County (Round Rock, Georgetown, Taylor, Hutto, Cedar Park, Leander), Home-Delivered Meals for homebound seniors age 60+, Care Coordination, Caregiver Support including respite, In-Home Support, Benefits Counseling (the Williamson-area HICAP/SHIP-certified Medicare Benefits Counselors), and the ADRC of the Capital Area. Apply by calling AAACAP at 855-937-2372 (Statewide TX AAA line) or emailing ADRCCAP@capcog.org. Local Williamson intake can also be coordinated through senior centers in Round Rock and Georgetown.
Williamson is the 2nd-largest county in AAACAP's 10-county region. Meal site coverage is strong in Round Rock, Georgetown, and along the I-35 corridor; rural eastern and western Williamson (Florence, Bartlett, Liberty Hill) may have longer service delivery times.
