How to apply for Empowering Culpeper — Monthly Food Commodities (Culpeper County) in Virginia
Culpeper Human Services (Culpeper County Department of Human Services)
Who it's for
Empowering Culpeper gives income-eligible Culpeper County households a monthly supply of food staples (commodities). The distribution is held each month at Culpeper United Methodist Church, 1233 Oaklawn Drive, from 9 to 11 a.m., and the Culpeper Connector bus provides free drop-off and pick-up. Households that get SNAP (Food Stamps), Medicaid or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) are automatically eligible; other households can be enrolled if their income qualifies. Registration happens at the distribution, so arrive on time. For more information call Culpeper Human Services at 540-727-0372.
Automatic eligibility is for households on SNAP, Medicaid or SSI; other households are screened on income at registration. SSI is not screened here — if you get SSI, you qualify automatically. Culpeper Human Services makes the final decision.
