Prince William County offers real estate tax relief (exemption) for homeowners who are 65 or older or permanently disabled. Total household income must be $123,903 or less, and net worth (not counting the home) must be $400,000 or less. Full exemption from real estate tax (plus personal property tax on one vehicle, vehicle license fee, and solid waste fee) for owners 65+ as of Dec 31, 2026 or totally and permanently disabled; no percentage brackets. First $10,000 of a non-owner relative's income excluded; first $7,500 of disability compensation excluded for disabled applicants. Apply through the local commissioner of the revenue or assessment office.
