Who it's for

MY RIDE pays back mileage when a friend, neighbor, or family member drives you in their own car. It is for seniors 60 and older, veterans, and people with disabilities who live in El Dorado County outside the Tahoe basin. Trips can be for any reason, like doctor visits, groceries, the hairdresser, or social outings. The ride is free for you, and El Dorado Transit mails your driver a check at the IRS mileage rate, up to 350 miles a month for each passenger. Send in a MY RIDE application first. Your driver fills out a registration form and a W-9. Each month, send in your trip log by the 10th.
