How to apply for Madera County Connection Senior Bus & Reduced Fare in California
Madera County Connection (MCC)
Who it's for
Madera County Connection (MCC) runs a Senior Bus for people 60 and older and for riders with a disability — a lower age bar than the 65+ most California transit uses. IMPORTANT: it covers only parts of EASTERN Madera County — Oakhurst, Bass Lake, Coarsegold and Ahwahnee. It does NOT serve the city of Madera or Chowchilla. Rides go to medical appointments, the senior centre and shopping, at $1.50 per one-way trip. To apply, first call 559-263-8080 to check that your address is inside the service area, then download the application and mail it to MV Transportation, 201 W. Almond Ave, Madera, CA 93637. Seniors elsewhere in the county can still use MCC's reduced fare on regular fixed-route buses.
People who qualify for one senior program often qualify for others. See everything you may qualify for — free, no SSN, about five minutes.
