How to apply for LEAP energy assistance intake (Denver Human Services) — Denver in Colorado

Denver Human Services / Colorado LEAP

Who it's for

Denver Human Services helps Denver residents apply for the Colorado Low-income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP), which pays part of winter heating costs and can help with heating-equipment repair or replacement. The 2026-27 winter season opens November 1, 2026. Contact the Denver Human Services LEAP team at (720) 944-LEAP (5327) or DHSLeap@denvergov.org, or call 1-866-HEAT-HELP (1-866-432-8435). Income limits are on the statewide LEAP record.

Income limits are set each season (60% of state median income); the LEAP program determines the benefit. Statewide dollar screening lives on co.state.leap.
