How to apply for LEAP energy assistance intake (Sedgwick County Department of Human Services) — Sedgwick in Colorado

Sedgwick County Department of Human Services

Who it's for

Colorado's Low-income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) helps pay part of winter heating costs. The Sedgwick County page says LEAP applications for the county are processed by Goodwill of Colorado (Discover Goodwill), and that eligibility and benefits are based on income and on the household's actual heating costs. Apply online through Colorado PEAK or call the statewide LEAP line at 1-866-432-8435 (1-866-HEAT-HELP). Paper applications can also be picked up and dropped off at the Sedgwick County Department of Human Services (970-474-3397, 118 W. 3rd St., Julesburg).

The county and the state LEAP program decide eligibility and the benefit amount. Statewide income screening lives on co.state.leap.
