Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP)

Who it's for

Kansas gives free, permanent hunting and fishing licenses to qualifying disabled veterans. The veteran must live in Kansas, have an honorable discharge or a general discharge under honorable conditions, have a disability incurred or aggravated in the line of duty, and have a service-connected rating of 30% or more. Apply online at gooutdoorskansas.com or in the GoOutdoorsKS app (Disabled Veterans Hunting & Fishing License Application), or mail the paper application to KDWP Licensing, 512 SE 25th Ave, Pratt, KS 67124-8174. Allow 2 weeks for processing.

The license is free; apply with the supporting papers listed. KDWP decides eligibility.
